MONTPELIER – Lyla Mahan had three hits and two RBIs while Madelyn Hopper threw a complete game one-hitter as Montpelier clipped Edgerton 5-0 in game one a doubleheader.
Zoe Uribes and Bella Ramos added to the Locos effort with two singles each.
In game two, Edgerton built a 4-1 lead and held off the Montpelier rally to earn a split on the day with the 4-3 win.
Olivia Wallace got the win in the nightcap for the Bulldogs and Ava Swank recorded a single with two RBIs. Madelyn Hopper knocked in all three of the Loco runs on the day including a two-run single in the fifth.
