The Village of Swanton hosted its annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7th, starting with a craft show at Swanton High School from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The parade kicked off at 10:30 a.m., led by the Swanton American Legion Post 479, featuring local businesses, floats, and marching bands from Swanton and Delta High Schools. It began at Swanton Sports Center, moved through Main Street, and ended on Dodge Street, with Santa Claus making a festive appearance. At the high school, activities included project creation, a photo booth, letter writing, meeting Happy the Clown, and visiting Santa, with concessions benefiting the Swanton Choir Boosters. Friday’s events at Pilliod Park included a story walk, hot cocoa by the fire department, choir singing, food trucks, and a tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
