Vivian Taylor (1931-2021)

Vivian L. Taylor, age 90, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in her residence, after an extended illness. Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Evanston High School, in Evanston, Illinois, and spent her life as a homemaker, wife and mother.

Vivian was an avid volunteer. She volunteered as a church secretary at First Presbyterian Church in Worcester, Massachusetts, and Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio, for 29 years.

Vivian was a longtime member of the Literary Forum and was a reader at Washington Elementary in Bryan. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, playing Bridge, quilt making and sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Vivian L. Taylor was born on October 6, 1931, in Evanston, Illinois, the daughter of James and Lilly (Lange) Gleason. She married John “Jack” E. Taylor on December 27, 1952, in Evanston, and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2016.


Survivors include one son, Bill (Susan) Taylor, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; one daughter, Cathy Regnier, of Bryan; four grandchildren, Erin Taylor, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Elise Taylor, of Seattle, Washington, Joseph (Ami Saad) Regnier, of West Boylston, Massachusetts, and Ryan (Jonica) Regnier, of Marlboro, Massachusetts; one great-grandchild, Tegan Regnier, of Marlboro, Massachusetts. She is also preceded in death by her two sisters, Harriot Grubert and Virginia Bench.

In accordance with Vivian’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.

Memorials are requested to Sauder Village, Northwest State Community College, or First Presbyterian Church, in Bryan, Ohio.
