Wauseon City Council Holds Special Meeting For Opioid Settlement

The Wauseon City Council held a special meeting on Thursday August 12th. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Huner at 8:04am followed by roll call and the Pledge of Allegiance.

The council moved to hear Ordinance 2021-8 which purpose is to give the mayor authorization to accept material terms of the One Ohio Subdivision Settlement pursuant to the One Ohio memorandum of understanding and consistent with the terms of the July 21st, 2021, national opioid settlement and to sign the One Ohio subdivision participation form and declaring an emergency.

A motion was made place Ordinance 2021-8 on emergency reading which passed. A motion was then made to approve the final reading for Ordinance 2021-8 which was also passed.

With no further business being conducted, a motion was made to adjourn and approved at 8:10am.
