(September 9th, 2014)-PATRICK HENRY: Going on the road, the Lady Indians gave Patrick Henry a major challenge on Tuesday. They couldn’t steal a victory from the home town Patriots, though, as Wauseon lost the match in straight sets.
From the first set, Wauseon battled hard against the Lady Patriots. Still, they dropped game 1 22-25. Game 2 was no less competitive, but ended with the Indians defeated 19-25. The girls of Wauseon made one last effort to come back. But Patrick Henry outlasted the Lady Indians, taking the set 25-17.
Sydney Bosell recorded 6 kills, 4 aces, and 2 blocks for the Indians in the losing effort. Teammate Kierra Fountain had 14 digs, 5 kills, and 3 aces. Sariah Yackee topped her fellow Indian with 15 digs and 2 aces. Hayley Chamberlain served up 10 assists in the losing effort.
