gcf award winners WEBThe Wauseon High School chapter of Girls Christian Fellowship (GCF) recently held their annual Senior Breakfast. Every year seniors who have been involved in the group throughout high school are honored at the breakfast. This year eleven seniors attended the breakfast along with their mothers. Also in attendance were past GCF Advisory Board Presidents who remain active in the group.

The attendees were all treated to a delicious breakfast prepared by current advisory board members. The morning also included an inspirational message from Mary Jo Bray. As is the tradition, the senior girls were presented with a blue graduation stole by GCF advisor Carrie Nofziger. Senior scholarship awards were presented to three seniors. Anna Marshall, GCF Vice President, received the GCF Scholarship award. Jana Armstrong received the Ada K. Smith award and Morgan Roth received the Alice Money award.

GCF provides an opportunity for young high school women to come together in fellowship with other young women. Throughout the year they meet before school for devotions and participate in other various activities. They also enjoy a Mother – Daughter Tea in the fall and a Father – Daughter Dinner in the spring.
