WAUSEON: February 14, 2014 – A slowdown offense has its good points, but if your defense cannot get your opposition to play along, it is all filed under the same category…moot.
The Wauseon Indians were certainly in non-compliance with the Evergreen slo-mo offense as they jumped out to an early lead and built on it for four quarters on February 14, finishing the night and the Vikings with a 43-23 win.
Jacob Newlove finished with a game-high 13 points for the Tribe, who are still a part of the logjam at the top of the conference. Zac Robinson and Corry Byers each had 9 points, Noah Castle had 6, and Kris Boysel and Carter Bzovi each had 3 points.
SCORING BY QUARTER:
Wauseon 11 6 14 12 – 43
Evergreen 5 3 11 4 – 23
