Wauseon High School students celebrated prom on the evening of Saturday, May 2, with this year’s event taking place on the high school campus.
The evening began with walk-in around 5:50 p.m., giving students, families and community members a chance to see prom attendees arrive before the night’s festivities began.

This year’s prom theme was “Night in Paradise,” with a tropical, Rio-inspired atmosphere planned for the event. The evening included music from a DJ, dancing, photos and food served by KovarQue, which provided barbecue-style offerings for those attending.
Following the prom, students headed to the middle school for after-prom activities, which were scheduled to begin at 11:30 p.m. and continue until 3 a.m.
Activities planned for the after-prom event included laser tag, cornhole, a hypnotist show and more.

The event gave students a full evening of celebration, entertainment and memories as the school year began to move toward its final weeks.
