Williams County Ballot Issues & Candidates For November 3 General Election

THE VILLAGE REPORTER

Williams County residents will want to make sure to make it to the polls for the November 3 General Election as a total of 11 different issues and questions have made it onto the ballot. County, municipality, school board, and township issues, questions, and candidates, listed by locality and including all uncontested races, are as follows:

VILLAGE OF BLAKESLEE
MAYOR (Vote for 1): Linda Muehlfeld. COUNCIL (Vote for 2): Michael Decker, Cody Reynolds.

BRADY TOWNSHIP
4 PROPOSED TAX LEVY (RENEWAL)… A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Brady Township for the purpose of fire protection at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.05 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2015,first due in calendar year 2016.
TRUSTEE (Vote for 1): Willie Grime. FISCAL OFFICER (Vote for 1): Chrystal L. Maneval.

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP
TRUSTEE (Vote for 1): Steve Hays, James Singer. FISCAL OFFICER (Vote for 1): Nicki Cogswell.

CITY OF BRYAN
COUNCIL (Vote for 2): Mike L. Bever, Vicki Long, Carrie M. Schlade, Judith Yaharus. BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS (Vote for 2): Bonnie Kimpling-Kelly, Bill Pepple, Thomas Sprow. SCHOOL BOARD (Vote for 2): Cindra Keeler, Thomas Lingvai.

CENTRAL LOCAL SCHOOL BOARD
(Certified in Defiance County). Vote for 2: Jennifer Johns, Scott R. Schindler, James T. Singer

CENTER TOWNSHIP
TRUSTEE (Vote for 1): Matthew A. Grube. FISCAL OFFICER (Vote for 1): Todd Burkholder.

VILLAGE OF EDGERTON
9 PROPOSED TAX LEVY (RENEWAL)… A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Edgerton Village for the purpose of fire protection at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.20 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2016, first due in calendar year 2017.
MAYOR (Vote for 1): Lance L. Bowsher, Duane Schooley. COUNCIL (Vote for 2): Dean M. Thiel, Chuck Wallace. SCHOOL BOARD (Vote for 2): Darwin Krill, Bob Siebenaler

VILLAGE OF EDON
MAYOR (Vote for 1): Duane Thiel. COUNCIL (Vote for 2): Chuck Bidwell, Warren Hulbert, Michael Lirot. SCHOOL BOARD (Vote for 2): Cody Best, Brad McCrea, Erin Nester.

FLORENCE TOWNSHIP
TRUSTEE (Vote for 1): Bowen P. Aldrich, Albert A. Brown. FISCAL OFFICER (Vote for 1): Patrick J. Muehlfeld.

VILLAGE OF HOLIDAY CITY
COUNCIL (Vote for 2): Pamela Day.

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP
7 SPECIAL ELECTION BY PETITION – LOCAL LIQUOR OPTION FOR A PARTICULAR LOCATION… Shall the sale of wine and mixed beverages be permitted for sale on Sunday between the hours of ten a.m. and midnight by Schafer Ventures LLC dba Ace Automotive, an applicant for a D-6 liquor permit, who is Engaged in the business of operating a neighborhood convenience store at 13920 State Route 107, Jefferson Twp., Montpelier, OH 43543 in this precinct?

MAYOR (Vote for 1): Steve Yagelski. COUNCIL (Vote for 3): Chris Kannel, Delmar Karnes, James Rockey, Cheri Streicher, Nathan J. Thompson.

NORTH CENTRAL SCHOOL BOARD
(Vote for 2): Anthony N. Burnett, Shane Martin, Craig L. McKarns.

NORTHWEST TOWNSHIP
5 PROPOSED TAX LEVY (RENEWAL)… A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Northwest Township for the purpose of maintaining and operating cemeteries at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.05 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2016, first due in calendar year 2017.
TRUSTEE (Vote for 1): Benjamin J. Disbro, Steven L. Stamper. FISCAL OFFICER (Vote for 1): Jessica Baker, Peggy Disboro.

NORTHWEST OHIO EDUCATION SERVICES CENTER GOVERNING BOARD 9TH DISTRICT
(Filed in Fulton County) (Vote for 1): Thomas L. Gerig.

VILLAGE OF PIONEER
MAYOR (Vote for 1): Edward A. Kidston. COUNCIL (Vote for 2): Rodney D. Eckley, John W. Oxender.

PULASKI TOWNSHIP
TRUSTEE (Vote for 1): Tod A. Schlacter. FISCAL OFFICER (Vote for 1): Connie Simmons.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP
6 PROPOSED TAX LEVY (ADDITIONAL)… An additional tax for the benefit of Springfield Township for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing, and repair of streets, roads, and bridges, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.15 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2015, first due in calendar year 2016.

ST. JOSEPH TOWNSHIP

VILLAGE OF STRYKER
10 PROPOSED REALLOCATION OF AN EXISTING MUNICIPAL INCOME TAX… Shall Ordinance No. 2015-03 providing for an amendment to the allocation of tax funds on the continuing one-half of one percent (0.5%) income tax for capital improvements be changed to reallocate the tax funds for support of the Village’s General Fund on and after July 1, 2017 be passed?

WILLIAMS COUNTY
8 PROPOSED TAX LEVY (ADDITIONAL)… An additional tax for the benefit of Williams County for the purpose of providing or maintaining senior citizens services or facilities at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.05 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2015, first due in calendar year 2016.

VILLAGE OF WEST UNITY
11 PROPOSED TAX LEVY (RENEWAL)… A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of West Unity for the purpose of maintaining, operating and providing capital improvements for municipal parksat a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2016, first due in calendar year 2017.
MAYOR (Vote for 1): Peggy L. Bernath. COUNCIL (Vote for 2): Kevin L. Gray, Kirk Thompson.
