It was a busy morning for youngsters who took part in the sixth annual Park With The Police event held on Saturday, June 13 at The Imagination Station in Bryan.

The event, which is for children ages 2-10, was designed to bring youth together with local and area law enforcement personnel.

At the start of the day, children were offered free gift bags and donuts to welcome them to the event.

Local law enforcement officers attended the event, talking and answering questions with kids, hosting a few stations, and even letting the children challenge them to various games.

It also featured bicycle safety with an obstacle course, animal carts to ride, a K-9 demonstration, an exotic zoo, dunk tank, bounce houses, photo booth, inflatable obstacle course, tug-of-war, ice cream and an archery trailer.

Participating law enforcement agencies included Williams County Sheriff’s Office; Bryan, Edgerton, Stryker, Edon, Blakeslee, Montpelier, Pioneer, Hicksville, and West Unity police departments.

Also, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Multi-Area Narcotics (MAN) Unit; and Bryan Municipal Court probation department participated.

There was food courtesy of Calli’s Smokehouse in Edon and drinks courtesy of Biggby Coffee in Bryan available for a free will donation, with proceeds going to the K-9 funds of Williams County law enforcement agencies.
