The Williams County Commissioners met on Thursday, May 28, 2026, to pass multiple resolutions, including Job and Family Services agreements and Hillside Country Living advances.
Among the actions approved was a supplemental appropriation that advanced $150,000 to the county’s nursing home, Hillside Country Living. This is to cover invoices and payroll expenses, as requested by the facility.
An additional Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding future advances made to Hillside Country Living was approved.
The agreement is for the purpose of creating a “foundation for an enduring, cooperative, working agreement with Hillside Country Living for a clear understanding and directive regarding any and all Advances made on their behalf.”
Several resolutions were passed on behalf of Williams County Job and Family Services (JFS). These included:
— A $155,000 Title IV-E contract between JFS and OhioMHAS-Cornell Abraxas Group LLC for child placement services.
— An agreement with isolved Inc. for a one-time upgrade to the department’s timekeeping and payroll tracking system, at a cost not to exceed $695.70.
Commissioners then approved a purchase agreement between the Engineer’s Office and Estle Chevrolet Buick LLC for the purchase of a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado LT pickup truck. The cost of the vehicle will not exceed $42,165.
In personnel matters, an IT intern was hired for the Williams County Information Technology Department. Aydyn King will begin his internship with the county on June 1, 2026, and will work for a minimum of three months.
The Board accepted and awarded the bid for the county’s 2026 Asphalt Paving Program. Following a recommendation from County Engineer Todd Roth, the contract was awarded to Gerken Paving Inc.
