What could have been a frightening situation in the heart of Bryan was brought to a quick and peaceful resolution thanks to Williams County Constable Nicholas R Lanzer; and Williams County Commissioners commended his actions.

According to the commendation; on Monday, June 25th Constable Lanzer witnessed a defendant at the Williams County Courthouse fleeing from the building.  The suspect exited the east doors of the building, but only made it as far as Cherry Street before being detained by Lanzer.

Commisioner thanked him for quickly assessing the situation and staying calm during the ordeal.
