Williams County Grand Jury Indicts Fourteen

The Williams County Grand Jury convened on July 22, 2019 and returned indictments against fourteen individuals facing a total of nineteen charges.  Those indicted include:

John H. Beach, 25, of Fayette was indicted for passing bad checks, a fifth-degree felony. Beach is accused of attempting of issuing several checks he knew would not be honored between the dates of approximately August 21, 2018 to September 9, 2018.

David L. Blake, 57, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Blake possessed or used methamphetamine on or about May 1.

Cassandra L. Gomoll, 36, of Edon was indicted on one count of identity fraud, a third-degree felony; one count of forgery, a fourth fourth-degree felony; and one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. The charges stem from incidents occurring on or about March 22, when authorities allege that Gomoll possessed or used personal identifying information and forgerd documents that resulted in a loss to the victim totaling $9805.64 as well that Gomoll stole a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix.


Jehiel J. Jenkins, 34, of Camden, Michigan was indicted for receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that, on or about June 8, Jenkins received or came in possession of a 2015 Jeep Cherokee that he knew or had reasonable cause to believe had been stolen.

Jason M. Johnson, 43, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Johnson possessed or used methamphetamine on or about April 24.

Misty R. Mattern, 43, of Hicksville was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Mattern is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about April 22.


Heather V. Nordness, 25, of Grover Hill, Ohio was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Nordness is accused of failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a previous felony offense.

Tyson J. Schlosser, 37, of Montpelier was indicted for domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Schlosser is accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a family or household member on or about July 4, after having previously been convicted of a prior domestic violence offense.

Katherine J. Slone Lucas, 34, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. She is accused of possessing or using Fentanyl on or about May 2.

Robert D. Sovine, 27, of Stryker was indicted for breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony. He is accused of using force or deception to trespass in a property located in Bryan with the purpose of committing a theft on or about April 2.


Danielle R. Stipe, 29, of Alvordton was indicted on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Stipe possessed or used methamphetamine on or about April 22 and May 1.

Chad L. Stewart, 45, of Manitou Beach, Michigan was indicted for physical control of a motor vehicle, a first-degree misdemeanor, and aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. Stewart is accused of being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drug of abuse as well as possessing or using methamphetamine on or about July 13.

William E. Waugh, 51, of Bryan was indicted on one count of domestic violence, a third-degree felony, and one count of disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony. The charges are in relation to an incident that occurred on or about July 21, when Waugh is accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a family member after having previously been convicted of two or more domestic violence offenses as well as taking and breaking a mobile phone from a person to prevent that phone from being used for public service or emergency communications.

Jared T. Yates, 24, of Bryan was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Yates is accused of failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a previous felony offense.

It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation, and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
