The Williams SWCD invites you to stop by and see us at the Williams County Fair September 12-19 in the Gillette Building. This year the Williams SWCD will stress the importance of soil and soil health.

Come out and try to guess the owner of Williams County barns in the Annual Barn Contest – you could win a Williams County Plat Book. Kid’s Day will include games with prizes and making a soil bracelet or learn what makes up soil in the ‘Soil Matching Game’ or maybe you would like to feel and guess the difference between soil types.

There will also be informative material on soil and soil health and informational displays from the Natural Resources Conservation Service, Farm Service Agency, Ohio Division of Forestry and Wildlife, recipes and information from the Dairy, Pork, and Beef Producers, Ohio Farmers Union, Farm Bureau, and the St. Joseph River Watershed Initiative.
