A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9 p.m. EDT Wednesday, April 15, 2026, for portions of northwest Ohio, including Williams and Fulton counties.
The National Weather Service warns that a couple of tornadoes are possible within the watch area. Forecasters also say scattered hail up to ping pong ball size is possible, along with wind gusts up to 70 mph.
The watch covers a large swath of northern Ohio and neighboring states, with a potential exposure of more than 6.4 million people, 2,327 schools, and 140 hospitals.
Residents are encouraged to monitor weather conditions closely, have a plan in place in the event of a tornado warning, and seek shelter immediately if conditions deteriorate.
