BOYS BASKETBALL

Wauseon 43 Archbold 21

WAUSEON – Matt Shaw had 13 points and Jonas Tester chipped in with 12 to lead Wauseon past Archbold 43-21 in a nonconference matchup. Gavin Bailey topped Archbold (4-3) with eight points on the night.

Fayette 59 North Central 55


FAYETTE – The game was tied 34-34 after three quarters before Fayette opened the final stanza with a 6-0 run as they held on for a 59-55 nonconference win. Elijah Lerma paced Fayette (6-1) with 25 points (15 in the fourth quarter) and Demetrius Whiteside added 12. Zach Hayes topped the North Central (4-3 offense with 20 points and Collin Patten had 12.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Archbold 52 Kalida 46 (OT)

ARCHBOLD – Archbold (5-4) rallied from seven down at halftime (21-14) to force overtime where they outscored Kalida 13-7 to get the win. Addi Ziegler and Addison Moyer had 13 points to lead the Bluestreaks and Karsyn Hostetler registered 10.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Kalida, 48-24

Montpelier 55 Pettisville 38

MONTPELIER – Montpelier bounced back from their first loss of the season by defeating Pettisville 55-38. The Locos (8-1) were 24/52 (46%) from the field and outrebounded Pettisville 35-19 while the Blackbirds were 13/41 (31%) shooting.

Ariel Page was one of three Locos in double figures with 18, Trinity Richmire tallied 16, and Chelsea McCord added 13. Pettisville (1-9) was led in scoring by 13 points from Ellie Grieser.
