The Wauseon High School Hall of Fame was established in order to recognize and honor those athletes, coaches, and others that have made outstanding and major contributions to the success and integrity of the Wauseon athletic program. The Hall of Fame committee has been meeting since the fall of 2006, with the commitment to enshrine those deserving members.
The 2015 class of the Wauseon Athletic Hall of Fame has been selected. This seventh class of inductees includes the following athletes:

Pete Zuchowski
(class of 1992)
Lindsay Zeigler Dwornik
(class of 1995)
Kayla Heising
(class of 2000)

Brad Myers, teacher, coach, 1989-2013.
The formal induction is scheduled for Saturday, November 28, at the high school, prior to the varsity boys basketball game with Archbold. A reception will follow at the school.
Each inductee will receive a plaque, with a duplicate to be displayed prominently in the high school.
Randy Zeigler (1971) earned 6 letters at WHS in basketball and track. In 1971, Randy won four events in the NWOAL meet and is one of only eight (8) athletes to win 4 individual events in the league meet since the NWOAL was formed in 1926. In that year, Randy placed 5th in the state track meet and set a school record of 6’6” in the district meet, a record that stood for 22 years.
Pete Zuchowski (1992) earned 11 letters at WHS in cross country, track, wrestling and swimming. In cross country, Pete was the NWOAL champion in 1991 and finished 3rd in the state meet. In track, he was a 3-time league champion in the 1600m run and placed 2nd in the state as a junior and 3rd as a senior. He continued his career at Kent State University for 4 years in cross country and track.
Lindsay (Zeigler) Dwornik (1995) earned 8 letters at WHS in volleyball, basketball and track. In volleyball, Lindsay earned 3 letters and all-league honors. In basketball, she earned 2 letters and held the school record for most 3-pointers in a game. In track, Lindsay earned 3 letters, held school records in 4 events, was a 2-time league high jump champion and a 2-time state track placer in the high jump.
Kayla Heising (2000) earned 10 letters at WHS in volleyball, swimming and track. She earned all-Ohio honors in swimming her senior year. At the College of Wooster, she continued her swimming career and was a 20-time All-American. She set 7 school records and still holds 3 school records. She was named Ohio Woman of the Year for the state of Ohio as a senior. She was inducted into the Wooster Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
Brad Myers has been a teacher for Wauseon Schools since 1989. He served as head girls basketball coach from 1989-2013 and also coached baseball for 5 years. His basketball teams had a combined record of 367 wins and 159 losses. His 1996-97 team won the state championship. His 1997-98 team also went to the final four with a record of 25-0 before a defeat in the semi-finals. Those 2 teams won 52 straight games. He continues to teach business education at Wauseon High School.
