The Williams County Grand Jury convened on March 20 and returned indictments against 40 individuals facing 76 charges. Those indicted include:
John L. Anderson, 23, of Bryan was indicted on two counts of domestic violence, one a fifth degree felony and the second a first degree misdemeanor, and one count of assault, a first degree misdemeanor. It is alleged that Anderson caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a pregnant family member on or about March 10, 2018.
Travis A. Beattie, 31, of Bryan was indicted for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a third degree felony. It is alleged that Beattie engaged in sexual conduct with a minor between the ages of thirteen and sixteen and that Beattie is ten or more years older than that minor. The offense is alleged to have occurred between August 1, 2015 and September 30, 2015.
Allison A. Beerer, 27, of Coldwter, Michigan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Beerer possessed or used methamphetamine on or about January 30, 2018.
Melvin C. Berry, Jr., 44, of Montpelier was indicted on one count of failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer, a third degree felony, and one count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drug of abuse, a first degree misdemeanor. The charges come in connection to the March 4 chase Berry is alleged to have led officers on.
Shayla L. Betts, 19, was indicted for grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth degree felony. The charge alleges that Betts obtained or exerted control over a 2013 Ford Mustang without consent of the owner on or about February 5, 2018.
Rachel V. Carlotta, 38, of Edon was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony. It is alleged that Carlotta possessed or used methamphetamine on or about February 13, 2018 as well as that the amount of the drug involved equals or exceeds the bulk amount but is less than five times the bulk amount.
Joshua T. Cooper, 33, of Pioneer was indicted on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, each a fifth degree felony, and one count of possession of heroin, also a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Cooper possessed or used methamphetamine, heroin, and Fentanyl on or about February 8, 2018.
Gabriel D. Cordell, 42, of Bryan was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. It is alleged that Cordell failed to appear as required by the court on a previous felony charge.
James B. Ellis, 25, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. The charge alleges that Ellis possessed or used methamphetamine on or about March 7, 2018.
Scott N. Freudenberger, 24, of Bryan was indicted for possession of cocaine, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Freudenberger possessed or used cocaine on or about April 22, 2017.
Joshua D. Futch, 28, of Bryan was indicted on one count of theft and one count of forgery, each a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Futch stole and forged two checks from a private individual on or about November 27, 2017.
Felicia M. Glambin, 34, of Pioneer was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Glambin possessed or used methamphetamine on or about February 8, 2017.
Daniel G. Goebel, 53, of Edgerton was indicted on a total of six charges including one count of assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third degree felony; one count of illegal manufacture of drugs, a second degree felony; two count of aggravated possession of drugs, each a second degree felony; one count of possession of LSD, a fifth degree felony; and one count of aggravated trafficking of drugs, a second degree felony with specification. It is alleged that Goebel possessed chemicals used for the manufacture of methamphetamine as well as that, at the time of the offense, Goebel had been convicted of or pleaded guilty to two or more felony drug offenses. It is also alleged that Goebel possessed or used as well as engaged in the production of methamphetamine. The charges additionally allege that Goebel possessed or used LSD as well as that Goebel prepared methamphetamine for distribution. The specification to the aggravated trafficking charge indicates that Goebel used a 1998 Chevrolet truck in the commission of the offenses and that this truck is subject to seizure and forfeiture to the state. The illegal assembly and the illegal manufacture of drugs charges are alleged to have occurred on or about September 9 and 10 of 2016. The aggravated trafficking, possession of LSD, and one of the aggravated possession of drugs charges are alleged to have occurred on or about April 24, 2017. The second aggravated possession of drugs charge is alleged to have occurred on or about August 31, 2017.
Kayen A. Grime, 23, of West Unity was indicted on one count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drug of abuse, a first degree misdemeanor, and one count of improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Grime operated a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol as well as that Grime had in his possession a loaded Ruger .357 at the time of the offense, which is alleged to have occurred on or about March 9, 2018.
Lindy L. Grime, 50, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Grime used or possessed methamphetamine on or about February 14, 2018.
Devin E. Ickes, 23, of Holiday City was indicted on count of theft and one count of forgery, each a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Ickes stole and forged two checks from a private individual on or about November 21, 2017.
Kayleen K. Justinger, 26, of Defiance was indicted for illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility, a third degree felony. It is alleged that Justinger conveyed marijuana onto the grounds of the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio on or about March 8, 2018.
Brittney S. Kindinger, 29, of Allen, Michigan was indicted on two counts of burglary, one a third degree felony and the other a fourth degree felony. It is alleged that Kindinger broke into a property in Pioneer on or about February 3, 2018 and on or about Februray 22, 2018.
Ayla N. Lirot-Crutchfield, 26, of Montpelier was indicted on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, each a fifth degree felony, and one count of possession of heroin, also a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Lirot-Crutchfield possessed or used methamphetamine, heroin, and Fentanyl on or about May 14, 2017.
Jameson D. Love, 47, of Bryan was indicted for domestic violence, a third degree felony. The charges allege that Love caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family member on or about March 13, 2018. The charges also indicate that at the time of the offense Love had pleaded guilty to or had been convicted of two or more previous domestic violence offenses.
Madison M. Martinez, 22, of Wauseon was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony, and one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth degree felony. The charges allege that Martinez possessed or used methamphetamine, in an amount equal to or exceeding the bulk amount but less than five times the bulk amount, as well as cocaine on or about May 10, 2017.
Mackenzie McBride, 27, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. The charges allege that McBride possessed or used methamphetamine on or about January 19, 2018.
Zachary T. McCauley, 27, of Edgerton was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony, and one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that McCauley used or possessed methamphetamine and cocaine on or about May 10, 2017.
Charleena P.D. McCoy, 25, of Toledo was indicted on one count of forgery, a fifth degree felony, and one count of theft, also a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that McCoy forged two check from Bryan Die Cast totaling $1795.76 on or about November 22, 2017.
Daniel D. McNeff, 57, of Fort Wayne, Indiana was indicted on count of forgery, a fourth degree felony; one count of theft, a fifth degree felony; and two counts of complicity, each a fourth degree felony. The charges allege that Warren forged two checks stolen from Rupp Enterprises in the amount of $6850. It is also alleged that McNeff aided Donald E. Warren II in the commission of related forgery and theft offenses.
Edward S.R. Ramirez, 33, of Bryan, was indicted for tampering with evidence, a third degree felony. The charges allege that Ramirez, intentionally and with the purpose to corrupt the outcome of an investigation, misled a public official engaged in an ongoing investigation on or about March 6, 2018.
Chalres W. Raynor IV, 50, of Bryan was indicted on three counts of sexual battery, all third degree felonies. The charges allege that Raynor engaged in sexual conduct with another whom he had guardianship or custodial rights of on two different occasions in January 2016 and on one occasion on or about March 8, 2018.
Annie L. Redd, 28, of Toledo was indicted on one count of forgery, a fifth degree felony, and one count of theft, a first degree misdemeanor. The charges allege that, on or about November 10, 2017, Redd forged a check from Bryan Die Cast in the amount of $425.56.
Adam R. Sanders, 37, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Sanders possessed or used methamphetamine on or about November 25, 2017.
John P. Saurer, 47, of Bryan was indicted on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, each a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Saurer possessed or used methamphetamine on or about June 14, 2017.
Stacey M. Saurer, 44, of Bryan was indicted on three charges of aggravated possession of drugs, all fifth degree felonies. The charges allege that Saurer posses or used methamphetamine and Fentanyl on or about June 14, 2017 as well as used or possessed methamphetamine on or about November 5, 2017.
Matthew A. Shadbolt, 34, of Hicksville was indicted for one count of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. It is alleged that Shadbolt failed to appear as required by the court on a previous felony charge.
William L.D. Shumaker, 39, of Forest, Ohio was indicted on one count of forgery, a fifth degree felony; one count of criminal simulation, a first degree misdemeanor; and one count of criminal tools, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Shumaker produced counterfeit money, which he used with the purpose to defraud on or about December 8, 2017.
Tyson E. Sidle, 30, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Sidle possessed or used methamphetamine on or about May 12, 2017.
Julie R. Simmons, 55, of Bryan was indicted on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, each a fifth degree felony. The charges allege that Simmons possessed or used methamphetamine and Methylphenidate hydrochloride on or about May 12, 2017.
Isaac A.J. Valle, 24, of Defiance was indicted on one count of possession of cocaine and one count of trafficking in cocaine, each a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Valle possessed or used as well as offered to sell cocaine on or about April 22, 2017.
Donald E. Warren II, 32, of Fort Wayne, Indiana was indicted on one count of forgery, a forth degree felony; one count of theft, also a fourth degree felony; and two counts of complicity, each a fifth degree felony. The charges allege that Warren forged three checks stolen from Rupp Enterprises in the amount of $15,480. It is also alleged that Warren aided Daniel D. McNeff in the commission of related forgery and theft offenses.
Zachary A. Whalen, 24, or West Unity was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony, and one count of aggravated trafficking of drugs, also a third degree felony. It is alleged that Whalen obtained or used, as well as prepared for distribution, methamphetamine on or about December 19, 2017.
Brittany A. Whitlock, 28, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. It is alleged that Whitlock possessed or used methamphetamine on or about February 14, 2018.
Hope C. Williams, 38, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony. It is alleged that Williams possessed or used methamphetamine on or about March 1, 2018.
It should be noted that an Indictment is merely an accusation and that all criminal defendants are presumed Innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
