Montpelier WOTM 270 met on Thursday March 5th and heard from the three of the staff of the Williams County Habitat for Humanity. They have built 34 houses in Williams County since they came into existence.
Montpelier WOTM Chapter 270 donated two decorated 2X4 beams to the Williams County Habitat for Humanity Sponsor a Stud Program. Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the United States and in more than 70 countries around the world.
Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward our vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with people and families in need of a decent and affordable home.
Montpelier WOTM meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday at the Montpelier Lodge 312 Home in Montpelier at 6:30 pm. Their extended is to provide the necessary resources for the continued support and maintenance of Mooseheart Child City and the Moosehaven retirement community.
Mooseheart Child City houses over two hundred children who are in need due to their families are not physically or able to care for them with no cost to the family. Moosehaven is a retirement community where a moose member, who has been a member for over fifteen consetive years and is age 65 or over, can retire.
The Moose Organization raises funds to support these two organizations. Plus they also provide and donate to our local communities such as Montpelier Friends of the Park, CSWO, Ohio Special Olympics, Wms. County Cancer of NW Ohio, Kidney Fountain of NW Ohio, Ohio Veterans Matters, See and Do, Montpelier Nursery School are few of the community projects the chapter supports.
