Cadets Open Up 2014 Season On The Road At GMC Power Ayersville; Fall 7-0

AYERSVILLE: March 31, 2014: – The Hilltop Cadets opened up the 2014 season on the diamond, traveling to Ayersville for a non-conference tilt with the Pilots on March 31, falling to the host Pilots 7-0. The Cadets recorded 3 hits in the game off of red-hot Pilot pitching, while defensively committing 2 errors.

On the mound for the Cadets, Jalen Towers went two and two thirds giving up 2 earned runs while recording three strikeouts. Miklo Abner, went the remaining two, allowing 5 runs and setting down three. Offensively for Hilltop, Quinn Smith connected for two hits, while Justin Ashenfelter logged the remaining hit for the Cadets on the game.

Hilltop will hit the road for a game with Toledo Rodgers on April 1, before returning home to host Antwerp.
