StephanieCameron77Stephanie (Merillat) Cameron, Hilltop graduating class of 1991, published her first children’s book, Ella Mae the Courageous Cheerleader. It is a picture book, written in rhyme, sharing her true story about facing bullies with God’s help. It teaches children how to respond to meanness with kindness, courage and confidence. Holding true to history, the illustrations resemble the original West Unity school campus including cinder block walls, wooden gymnasium floors, and red and white school colors.

Ella Mae the Courageous Cheerleader is available in most online book stores including Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and FamilyChristian.com. To learn more about her inspiration for writing, read her author interview at TheBookCheckout.com/stephaniecameron.
