August 26th-NAPOLEON: It was a typical August day; intensely hot. On this day, however, that heat was reflected on Napoleon City Golf Course as Wauseon set out to invade the home town Wildcats’ domain. Napoleon wasn’t about to simply allow the intruding Indians to take over without a fight, though.

And fight they did. The match was decided by a single stroke, as Wauseon squeaked out a victory, 169-170.

Medal winner Trevor Dominique paved the way for the Indian win, with a 37 on his scorecard. David Williams just missed medalist honors, firing a 38. Brady Rupp and Tyler Clausen rounded out the Wauseon effort with matching 48s.

Napoleon’s Jarrett Beck put up a 40 in the losing effort. Sean Parker shot a 42. Joe Taylor, Nathan Heaston, and Brenden Bostleman all put up 44s, two of which counted toward Napoleon’s score.
