Josh Clark Hired As New Superintendent Of Pettisville Schools

An Executive Session was held at the March 2, 2021 Pettisville Board of Education meeting, for the purpose of hiring personnel.

Coming out of the session, the Board hired Josh Clark to be Superintendent of Pettisville Schools, starting August 1, 2021. A three-year contract was issued to run to July 31, 2024.

Mr. Clark is, a graduate of Archbold High School, is currently the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development at NOESC (Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center in Archbold) and previously served as High School Principal at Evergreen Local Schools.

Mr. Ken Boyers, whom he is replacing, was hired as an interim Superintendent for a year. Boyers had already been retired for three years and is looking forward to moving back into retirement life.


At the beginning of the March 2 meeting, the Board recognized Rebecca Dorosz and Lyla Heising for their organization of the Spelling Bee for Pettisville Schools.

The Board approved the following:

•Minutes for the February meeting


•Authorization for the Superintendent, Treasurer and Board President to sign the 2021-22 Agreement with NOESC

•Authorization of Jenae Lammers as additional signer on the Community Recreation Petty Cash checking account

•Accepted Chris Richer as Volunteer Softball Coach; Brianne Dammon, Zach Morrison, Kevin York and Sarah Foor as Volunteer Track Coaches

Reports were given by Mr. Jason Waldvogel and Mr. Michael Lane on their areas of responsibility.


Superintendent Ken Boyer reported on the successful school year Pettisville Schools experienced, saying, “We have now been dealing with the COVID crisis for one year.”

He thanked the staff, principals and Board for all their hard work and support to make this a successful year.

The Board scheduled a Work Session to be held on March 29, 2021 at 7 p.m. to review possible capital projects.

The meeting was adjourned and the next regular meeting is scheduled for April 12, 2021 at 7 p.m.
