OWENS CC SIGNEE … On Wednesday, four Bryan Golden Bears committed to further their education and continue their athletic careers at the next level. Among the four was baseball player Breven Deckrosh who signed to attend Owens Community College. So far this season in 54 at-bats Deckrosh has tallied 24 hits to go with 18 RBIs and 21 runs scored. COLLEGE FOOTBALL … Ashland University will be the destination for Bryan football player Caleb Kepler, who will be a wide receiver for the Eagles. Kepler this season hauled in 37 receptions for 589 yards with five TDs. On the defensive side, Kepler had 81 tackles, 12 pass breakups, five interceptions (including a 104-yard return for a TD-school record), and five forced fumbles. COLLEGE WRESTLING … Bryan wrestler Dylan McCandless is off to Tiffin University to continue is wrestling career. McCandless was a four-time letter winner with Bryan along with securing over 100 wins in his career, holding the school record for most pins, and was a two-time district placer. COLLEGE BASKETBALL … A three-time letter winner for the Bryan Lady Bears, Shallyn Miley will be joining the basketball program at Lourdes University. Miley also earned District 7 honors three times during her career along with being named to the NWOAL 1st Team twice and this season earned Special Mention All-Ohio recognition.
