September 2nd-LIBERTY CENTER: Each set was a battle, but the Cadets failed to take a set from Liberty Center on the road.
The Lady Cadets made Liberty Center uncomfortable in game 1, but were unable to take the set, losing 21-25. Not deterred, the Hilltop girls made another run at the Tigers in the second set. It wasn’t enough, though, as the Cadets fell 22-25. Hilltop tried to mount one last assault, but Liberty Center turned up the heat. The Lady Cadets lost the third and final game 16-25.
Cierra Grant led the way for the Lady Cadets with 11 digs and 4 kills. Baylee Schmitt had 7 assists, 5 digs, and 2 aces on the evening for Hilltop as well. Teammate Felicity Jackson added 3 aces, 3 digs, 2 assists, and 2 blocks in the losing effort.
