Stryker, Pettisville, and Montpelier Boys Shine At Junior High Archbold Invitational

September 6th-ARCHBOLD: The Archbold Invitational had several schools competing in the event, with 119 boy runners and 68 girl runners total.

Stryker took second at the event, led by Izayah Ferguson’s sixth place finish at 12:17. Logen Boetz’s 13:02 time was good enough to earn eighteenth place.Tristin Sampson and Reece Hall took thirty-second and thirty-third place respectively. Sampson ran a 13:38, and Hall a 13:39.

Abigail Grice was the lone Lady Panther to run in the race. She claimed thirtieth place with a time of 16:31.

The Montpelier boys had a respectable showing at the Invitational, owning the rights to seventh place overall thanks to Mathew McClaine and his time of 12:20. Locomotive Daniel Banks ran a 14:45, while Gage Crisenbery and William Belknap finished the race at 15:10 and 17:41. respecively.

Montpelier entered three girls into the race. Lydia Grime ran a 15:21, good for fourteenth place. Gabby Cox completed the race with a time of 15:35, and Kimberly Engels did the same at 15:54.


Logan Rufenacht was the first Blackbird to finish the race, claiming thirteenth place for Pettisville thanks to his time of 12:36. Caleb Nolander took sixteenth place at 13:01.Tony Stuckey and Matt Rupp completed the race with times of 14:54 and 16:25. respectively.

Pettisville had two girl runners entered into the Invitational. Kelly Miller took twenty-fourth place at 15:46. Madeleine Wixom finished the race at 17:23.
