Stryker Boys Finish Third At Ottawa-Glandorf Invitational

(September 13th, 2014)- The Stryker Junior High Cross Country Team made the trek to Ottawa-Glandorf to compete in the school’s invitational on Saturday. 152 girls and 210 boys took part in the event. Only two of those girls represented Stryker, while the boys were able to place third out of nineteen teams.

Abigail Grice was the first Lady Panther to finish, crossing the line at 15:47, good for fifty-sixth place. Emily Banks completed the race at 20:51.

For the Stryker boys, Izayah Ferguson took sixteenth place with a time of 12:11. Logan Boetz clocked in at 12:50, which netted him thirty-second place for the Panthers. Teammate Emanuel Villanueva claimed forty-ninth place, running a 13:11. Tristan Sampson and Thomas Bost helped to secure the team’s third place finish by taking fifty-fifth and sixty-fifth place, respectively. Sampson ran a 13:14, and Bost a 13:27.
