Heather Renee Siefker, age 49, of Wauseon, Ohio, passed away on September 3, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.

Heather was born on January 9, 1972 in Wauseon, Ohio, to the late Alan Clausen and Sue (Zimmerman/Clausen) Raje. She married David Siefker on January 26, 2020 who survives.

Heather loved God, family, friends, and community. She was involved in 4-H at an early age and eventually became an advisor.

Her church, FFA, school activities, scouts, to name a few, benefited from her helpful heart and passion for volunteering and promoting activities.

Education was important to Heather. After graduating from Evergreen High School, she obtained her Associates Degree in Accounting at Northwest State Community College.

Years later, while working full time and as a mom with school-aged children, Heather returned to college receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management through Bluffton College.

It not only furthered her career, but served as an example of hard work, determination, and work ethic.

Many remember Heather from working at Bernicke’s, NAFAB, Henry County Board of Education/Northwest Ohio and Lucas County Educational Service Centers, Ace Hardware, GB Manufacturing, and most recently, as the Office Manager at Aquatek Water Conditioning in Wauseon where she loved to be the provider of exceptional customer service to their many customers.

Heather enjoyed playing games, photography, camping, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends. Heather’s positive, faith-filled outlook on life drew people to her and had a knack for including everyone.

Helping others brought her joy. She was a supportive mom, a courageous human who will be missed by many. She was a member of First Christian Church of Wauseon and Netsense.

Surviving Heather is husband, David; son Derick (Morgan) Rufenacht; daughter Sara Rufenacht (Brayton Roth, fiancé); Isaac Rufenacht, and Amber Rufenacht; granddaughter; Mia Rufenacht. She is also survived by seven stepchildren, Zach, Zoe, Zion, Zeph, Zeb, Zorah, and Zenas; mother, Sue (Pat) Raje;  brother Alan Clausen; sister Brenda (John) Schudel, niece Shelby and nephews Devin and Alan.

Heather is preceded in death by her father, Alan Clausen.

Visitation for Heather will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the First Christian Church in Wauseon. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, also at the church, with Pastor Michael Doerr, officiating.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Camp Christian or Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.
