(September 25th, 2014)-EDON: The Lady Bombers played host to North Central on Thursday. They weren’t very hospitable, however, taking down the Lady Eagles in straight sets.
Games 1 and 2 were both battles, each ending the same way. Edon took both sets by the score of 25-18. Two close losses proved to be too much for the Lady Eagles to overcome, and they dropped the third set 6-25.
Kaela Gearhart managed the offense with 12 assists for Edon, also making 2 aces and 2 digs on the evening. Teammate Nicole Newell nailed 8 kills and an ace, and made 14 digs, an ace and an assist as well. Alex Kiess served up 10 assists herself, also contributing 5 kills and 2 digs to the Bomber victory.
Abby Auch made 7 kills for North Central. Teammate Rachel Oxender set things in motion with 10 assists. Fellow Eagle Alyssa Swank patrolled the net all night, managing 5 blocks.
