BOYS BASKETBALL

Edon 55 Montpelier 32

EDON – Drew Gallehue had six buckets and went 4/7 at the free throw line for 16 points to lead Edon (5-4, 2-0 BBC) to a win over Montpelier 55-32. Jack Berry added 14 for the Bombers, who outscored the Locos 16-6 at the foul line. Jamison Grime had nine points to top the Montpelier (1-8, 0-2 BBC) scoring.

M’PELIER  12   6    4   10 – 32

EDON          9   11  16  19 – 55

Pettisville 43 Holgate 17

PETTISVILLE – The Blackbirds shutout Holgate (2-8, 0-2 BBC) in the opening stanza and limited the Tigers to only one field goal in the first half as they rolled to a 43-17 win. Cayden Jacoby turned in a double-double for Pettisville (6-3, 2-0 BBC) with 19 points, 12 rebounds and Jaret Beck added 14.

Robbie Thacker had four field goals and two makes at the free throw line for 10 to lead Holgate.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Holgate, 26-15

Fayette 46 Stryker 38

FAYETTE – Fayette (8-1, 2-0 BBC) won the battle at the foul line going 25/33 compared to Stryker’s 7/13 to earn a 46-38 victory. The Eagles, who scored all 15 of their points in the final quarter at the line, were led in scoring by Elijah Lerma with 19 points while Teyvon Harris had 10 to front Stryker (4-7, 0-2 BBC).

JUNIOR VARSITY: Fayette, 38-36 (OT)

North Central 69 Hilltop 33

PIONEER –Leading just 12-11 after one quarter, North Central (6-3, 2-0 BBC) pulled away by outscoring Hilltop (1-7, 0-2 BBC) 47-15 in the second and third quarters combined to pick-up a 69-33 BBC win.

Zach Hayes paced the Eagles attack with 18 points, Joey Burt had 11, and Mason Sanford added 10. Hilltop’s effort was led by seven points each from Ian Hoffman and Aiden Funkhouser.

N. CENTRAL 12 24  23  10 – 69

JUNIOR VARSITY: North Central, 55-38

Paulding 72 Edgerton 52

PAULDING – Nick Manz poured in a game-high 27 points for the Panthers (3-8, 1-1 GMC) in a 72-52 GMC win at home over Edgerton. Cole Meyer had 15 for the Bulldogs (2-8, 0-2 GMC) and Corey Everetts added 10 in the loss.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Evergreen 53 Swanton 18

SWANTON – Evergreen improved their overall record to 7-4 and are now 1-1 in the NWOAL after a convincing 53-18 win at Swanton (7-5, 0-2 NWOAL).

Bekah Bowser was the catalyst for the Vikings with 16 points and Macy Chamberlin added 10. Alaina Pelland and Emma Sullivan had four points each for Swanton.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Evergreen, 26-14

Archbold 50 Patrick Henry 31

ARCHBOLD – Harley Phillips drained three triples on her to 16 points as Archbold (8-5, 1-1 NWOAL) grabbed their first win in league play by beating Patrick Henry (0-11, 0-2 NWOAL) 50-31. Leah McQuade added 12 for the Bluestreaks, who forced 24 turnovers by the Patriots.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Archbold, 34-28

Liberty Center 49 Delta 27

LIBERTY CENTER – Eleven Tigers found the scoring column led by Bea Barrett with nine points to help keep Liberty Center (8-4, 2-0 NWOAL) remain unbeaten in league play. Sophia Burress netted eight points for Delta (3-7, 1-1 NWOAL).

BOYS BOWLING

Patrick Henry 2,394 Evergreen 1,994

DESHLER – The Patriots (6-2, 5-1 NWOAL) held a commanding 1,909-1,565 lead following match play as they cruised to win over Evergreen. Mason Luttrell topped the Vikings (1-6, 1-5 NWOAL) with games of 195 and 190 for a 385 series.

Bryan 2,502 Swanton 2,078

BRYAN – Matt Meade fired a 259 in game one and had a 218 in game two for a 477 series to lead Bryan (5-1, 4-1 NWOAL) past Swanton. Caleb Muhe added a pair of 200+ games (245, 210) to record a 455 and Iestyn Siders added a 420 (232, 188).

Marty Mosher rolled the high series for Swanton (4-3, 3-3 NWOAL) with a 371 (178, 193) and Seth Sweet tallied a 335 (147, 188).

GIRLS BOWLING

Patrick Henry 2,159 Evergreen 1,905

DESHLER – Rachel Breece posted games of 201 and 204 for Patrick Henry (5-1, 4-1 NWOAL) as they defeated Evergreen 2,159-1,905. Carly Kanneman topped Evergreen (3-3, 2-3 NWOAL) with a 200 in game two and finished with a 323 series while Joleen Warner had a 314 (147, 167).
