The J&B Feed Company, located at 140 South Brunell in Wauseon, held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, April 29th to celebrate new ownership.
New owners Dan and Pam Seiler bought the location from the previous owner Kerry Ackerman and have since worked to continue the quality service expected by customers of the feed company.
J&B Feed offers custom batches of feed from 500 pounds and up to 4 or 5 tons depending on the needs of the customer.
Feed for numerous livestock types are available as well including cattle, horse, hogs, sheep, chickens and more.
Feed types offered also vary from the companies own J&B Feed mix to Kalmbach Feeds, Buckeye, Blue Flannel and Purina.
Dan Seiler explained after the ribbon cutting that the market right now in this area is competitive. “There are a lot of good companies in this area. I just really saw a need though to help supply the smaller customers with feed.”
“We want to stay as competitive with other companies in order to keep helping out the smaller farmers as much as we can.”
Numerous people came out in support of the company during the ribbon cutting. A tour was also given, and hot dogs were also available.
Reps from the various different feed companies were also on site to speak with potential customers about their products.
“We have a lot to offer so come on out and give us a try and let us see if we can be competitive with everybody else. To the customers who keep coming back, we thank you and it is greatly appreciated,” said Seiler.
