Williams County Engineer, Todd Roth, met with the Commissioners on Thursday morning, June 30, 2022 to alert them of the need to purchase a truck.
He informed them that the 2006 truck broke down again recently and he is concerned it might affect their ability to answer emergency nighttime or weekend calls.
The need to move quickly if one comes available was his greatest concern, as vehicles are hard to get right now.
They are looking for one through any source including private individual. The commissioners agreed that whatever source comes available is fine and they will handle it financially. Cost needs to stay as close to $50,000 as possible was also agreed.
Roth hopes to find a Ford 350 or Chevy 3500 series., with no dump bed, but with lift gates on the back. If it does not have a service box they will put one on it.
Color does not matter as they will put the emblem on it. Since the truck is for the Sanitary Sewer System care, the funds will come through the commissioners.
In regular session the commissioners approved:
-Resolution 186 Supplemental Appropriations
-Resolution 187 Accepting and Awarding bid in regards to Project #4-2022
-Resolution 188 Entering into MOU
-Resolution 189 Entering into a Contract agreement
-Also signed: Notice to Legislative Authority – Ohio Division of Liquor Control – permit for Suburban Golf; Credit Card Appropriation for July for Recorder’s Office; Dog Warden Report for week of June 20-26, 2022; Monitoring Response Letter response to Office of Community Development for Grant #B-X-19-1DA-1; Travel request from Department of Aging
-Minutes dated June 27, 2022 and payment of bills
After a short recess, the Commissioners went into an Executive Session to consider the discipline of a public employee, with Fred Lord Exec. Director of WC JFS, Monica Gazarek, and Pat Hire from Clemens and Nelson.
There was no action taken and they stood adjourned.
