Three-Vehicle Crash In Williams County Leaves Three People Injured

Center Township – The Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a three-vehicle, serious injury crash.

The crash occurred on October 22, 2022 at approximately 9:39 p.m., on US 6, near mile post 9, Center Township, Williams County, Ohio.

Johnathan Miller, of Bryan, Ohio was operating a 2014 Cadillac ATC eastbound on US 6. Joshua Seip, of Defiance, Ohio, was also eastbound on US 6, operating a 2010 Dodge Caravan.


Miller was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck Seip from behind. Miller continued eastbound on US 6, and struck a 2013 Ford F-150, driven by Shanea Herman, of Edgerton, Ohio.

Herman was traveling westbound on US 6 and was struck trying to avoid collision with Miller.

Miller sustained serious injuries and was flown from the scene to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Seip’s passengers sustained minor injuries and were transported by Williams County EMS to Bryan Hospital in Bryan, Ohio.


Herman’s passengers sustained minor injuries and were treated on scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Williams County EMS, Bryan City EMS, Parkview Regional LifeFlight, and John’s towing.

This crash is still under investigation. The Ohio State Highway Patrol encourages drivers and occupants to always wear their safety belts and to never drive distracted or impaired.
