EVERGREEN BOARD OF EDUCATION: Superintendent Offers Thanks For Passage Of Levy Renewal

The Evergreen Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, November 21st. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance before the board moved to approve minutes from the previous meeting.

The October 2022 financial reports including cash reconciliation, financial summary, cash summary, and disbursement summary were approved next before moving on to approve donations and grants.

The board also approved a list of debt payments, the five-year forecast and a transfer of $50.00 from student council to athletics for the purchase of popcorn for Trivia Night.

A new checking account was then created with State Bank for the purpose of accepting ACH transactions and or wire payments.

Personnel items from the agenda were then approved before also moving to pass the following additional items.


The Viking Compass 2022-2025 (the districts strategic plan) to direct the course for district leadership for the next three years.

Approval for the EHS student athletes to participate in the 2022-2023 indoor track and field season using the Evergreen High School name.

Approval for the EHS female student athletes to participate in the 2022-2023 wrestling season using the Evergreen High School name.


Changes to the existing policy revisions to the current Evergreen Local Schools Board Policy.

A tax levy resolution for the Evergreen Community Library and the appointment of Suzi Holland to the Evergreen Community Library Board of Trustees for a seven- year term beginning January 1st, 2023.

Administrative reports were then discussed along with the thank you from Superintendent Smola for the levy renewal passage, and a successful Veterans Day program.


The board then entered into executive session and later adjourned following its conclusion.
