On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, the Fayette Community Development Corporation (CDC) hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newest business in town, Game Time located at 105 N. Fayette Street.

Tom Phelps, owner of the former Fayette Supermarket building said the idea to turn the property into a game room came up about three months ago.

Game Time features a pickleball court, two sets of corn hole boards, and a ping pong table.

The cost for utilizing the space during regular hours is $5.00 per person, per hour.

Game Time will be open to the public from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesdays through Saturdays and will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The space also offers special senior citizen walking hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm for those seniors who wish to get some exercise in.

Karen King, the Fayette CDC President, shared that the organization also hopes to incorporate a disc golf area in the park in 2023.

For anyone interested in becoming involved with the Fayette CDC, the group meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Fayette School in the conference room next to the library.

King advised that Fulton County Commissioner Jon Rupp will be attending the January meeting to share updates about the solar field and the new senior center.

Ohio Congressman Jim Hoops is scheduled to attend the CDC’s February meeting.
