FULTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: Bids Called For Regarding Chesterfield School Demolition Project

The Fulton County Commissioners held their first meeting of the week on Tuesday, January 31st. The meeting began at 8:59 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.

Commissioners first moved to approve minutes from the previously held meeting on January 26th, before also moving to approve the current agenda with one addition.


Approval of the bills took place next before the following agenda items were approved.

– Resolution 2023-108 for the increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments.

– Resolution 2023-109 to authorize the Board President to execute an Amendment Form for The FY23 Subsidy Grant for Juvenile/Probate Court.


– Resolution 2023-110 to approve legal and authorize an ad for the Chesterfield School Demolition Project.

– Resolution 2023-111 to enter Contract 2023-34 with Maximums US Services.

– Resolution 2023-112 to approve oversight of Contract 2023-35 with Renhill HR On Demand on behalf of the JFS.

– Resolution 2023-113 to accept the resignation of a senior center employee.


– Resolution 2023-114 to approve purchase orders and travel requests.

– Resolution 2023-115 to approve Pay Request #3 to Rupp Rosebrock Inc. for the Fulton County Fairgrounds New Hog Barn Project-Contract 2022-69.

With no other business to attend to the meeting was adjourned at 9:05 a.m.

The commissioners then held their second meeting of the week on Thursday, February 2nd. The meeting began at 9:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.

Minutes for the previous meeting held on January 31st were approved along with the current agenda as presented.

A review then took place of the Month End Financial Report for January 2023 before moving on to approve the following agenda items.

– Resolution 2023-118 for the increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments.

– Resolution 2023-119 for the transfer of funds from Solid Waste Management to the Board of DD.

– Resolution 2023-120 to approve purchase orders and travel requests.

The meeting entered recess at 9:03 a.m. and reconvened at 9:15 a.m.

The rest of the meeting dealt with a first viewing of Ditch 2150 – Swancreek Township.

Chief Deputy Engineer Rod Creager presented a slideshow presentation to the commissioners about the issues taking place in the area in question, and what the county can do to help.

Issues regarding catch basins, an outlet and tile were addressed along with possible solutions. The first hearing for the issue will take place on March 16th.

With no other business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 9:32 a.m.
