FAYETTE OPERA HOUSE: Area Talent Showcased At The Bean Creek “Souper” Coffee House

Fayette Opera House was the place to be to catch local musical talent at the Bean Creek “Souper” Coffee House showcase on Thursday, March 9.

The evening began with a soup supper featuring homemade chicken noodle, stuffed green pepper, potato soups, and chili.  Grilled cheese sandwiches, desserts, and drinks rounded out the menu.


At 7:00 pm, 58 guests moved upstairs to the opera house auditorium where they were treated to a line-up of local musicians including Dust 2 Dust, Don Glasgow, Quinn Mitchell, Heidi Paxton, Don Holsinger, Mel Holsinger, The Grandpas, Dennis Wasnich and Aubrey Calvin.

Upcoming events at the Fayette Opera House include:

Sunday, March 12, 2023 – Sunday Dinner & Glasgow Spring Reed Organ Concert featuring Organist Jay Krasnow with Elaina Kraineva on Viola  – Dinner begins at 12:30 pm, Concert begins at 2:00 pm.


Saturday, March 25, 2023 – The Good, The Bad, and The Blues Concert (rescheduled from January 27) begins at 7:00 pm.

Sunday, April 2, 2023 – Palm Sunday Dinner and Gospel Concert – Dinner begins at 12:30 pm, Concert begins at 2:00 pm.

Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 7:00 pm – Down Home at the Opera House Country, Gospel, and Bluegrass Show.  Ken’s Homemade Fried Boloney Sandwiches and snacks are available beginning at 6:00 pm.

Sunday, May 14, 2023 – Dinner & Cat Canyon Concert – Dinner begins at 12:30 pm, Concert begins at 2:00 pm.
