The Blakeslee Village Council meeting, held on March 9, began with roll call. Council members in attendance were Eric Jenkins, Rosemary Thiel and Shelly Cox.

First, council approved the minutes from the February 9 council meeting.

Next, Mayor Cody Reynolds mentioned that his term expires in November, and he plans to run.

In the clerk report, Courtny Osborn said that it had been a good month financially, with several receipts coming in, for a total of $10,046.97.

That brought the recent revenue over expenditures to more than $7,000, with payments at $2,623.26.

Also, Osborn stated that the financial reports have been sent into the auditor and that the second notice for trash payments have been sent out.

Residents will have one more month to get their payments in. In addition, Osborn stated that after checking, found that the village will need a quorum of four council members, in order to vote.

Osborn also mentioned that there will be a big trash cleanup on April 29.

In council reports, Cox mentioned that she knows of three cars that have expired tags, all of which are on the same lot.

Reynolds said that he will notify Police Chief Randy Mohre to look into it. Cox also mentioned that there were branches on the sidewalk after the ice storm, but they have now been picked up.

Jenkins asked to find out who is responsible for the viaduct, because he said that it is deteriorating on both sides. Reynolds said that he will check into it.
