REGULAR BUSINESS … Williams County Fair Board President Pam Goll oversees the June 15th fair board meeting.

The Williams County Fair Board meeting, held on June 15, began with the Pledge of Allegiance. That was followed by roll call, with seven board of directors and two auxiliary members in attendance.
In the first order of business, the board approved the meeting minutes from the previous May meeting.
Next, the board approved the treasurer’s report. As of May 31, the total bank accounts were $98,146.45.
Committee reports were then given. Tim Belding stated that he needs to know ahead of time on the bicycles.
President Pam Goll said that she will be giving him a ballpark figure soon, about how much he can spend for the bikes.
Matt Kennedy said that the chicks have been ordered for the chicken pursuit and there are nine kids involved. He will let the parents know as soon as the chicks come in.
Dave Page stated that the contracts have been sent out to the merchants and vendors.
Scott Carroll announced that there will be a meeting of the agriculture teachers on Monday at 7 p.m.
They will be meeting in a new building this year, in the rural building. Carroll stated that the teachers expressed that they are excited about the new meeting place.
Carroll also said that the Gillette Building is coming together. He also thanked Toby Fenicle and the others who have been working on making the grounds look great. Tom Fry stated that the new money boxes are in.
Fenicle said that Randy Hartman is working on the bathrooms. Fenicle also stated that he is meeting with some people about getting t shirts for the Demolition Derby.
Goll said that the tagging of goats and calves on June 3 went well. She also said that she will be meeting with the glitter judge next month.
In old business, the cleaning crew is not yet set up. Goll said that she will make calls about it this week. Goll also stated that they are still woking on quotes for the grant money.
Goll said that the fair books are being passed around to the directors and auxiliary members in order to see if anything needs to be added or changed.
In new business, Page asked that the price of $3,750 for advertising with Fox 36 be approved. The board approved the price.
Kennedy asked for a motion to have free building rentals and to have funds raised for the poultry club. The board approved the motion. The board then moved into executive session.
