Fulton County Firefighters Association Holds Annual Banquet For 2024

The Fulton County Firefighters Association held their annual banquet this past week. The event was held at the Sauder Heritage Inn in Archbold on Tuesday, February 20th. The event saw over 100 guests attend, which included numerous personnel from local area fire departments.

Years of Service awards were presented during the meeting to members in attendance. Fire Chief and Association President Jessica Geer presented the awards to the following individuals.

STATION 100 – Nick Rice – 10 Years, Kyle Brodbeck – 25 Years, David Eicher – 25 Years, Matt Welch – 25.


STATION 300 – Amie Gomoll – 5 Years, Dara Lavinder – 5 Years, Chris Stillion – 10 Years, Desiree Snyder – 25 Years, Jeff Hibbard – 40 Years.

STATION 400 – Krystal Labadie – 5 Years, Jared Leininger – 5 Years, Colin Richardson – 5 Years, Chris Wudi – 10 Years, AJ Call – 15 Years, Lacy Stambaugh – 20 Years, Pam Kurfiss – 25 Years.

STATION 500 – Nick Fisher – 20 Years.


STATION 700 – Colin Fessenden – 5 Years, Cuyler Kepling – 10 Years, Susan Schmidt – 10 Years, Jamie Blake – 15 Years.

STATION 84 (MORENCI) – Justin Miller – 5 Years, Robert Sedlacek – 10 Years, Brad Lonis – 30 Years.

All in all, the association honored 360 years’ worth of combined service. During the banquet, guests were also treated to a presentation delivered by Oralee Macklenar from the St. Vincent Trauma Recovery Center. The presentation revolved around burnout and stress resiliency.

Chief and Association President Geer explained what getting together once a year means. “This is a chance for us to have dinner, pause, and reconnect with old friends. We are here having dinner with one another, and we are sticking with tradition.”
