WAUSEON (September 19, 2024) – After a perfect BBC regular season dual match record, Pettisville fired a school record 299 to take first place by 30 strokes over second place Montpelier to win the BBC championship with a perfect 14-0 record.
The Blackbirds used four scores in the 70s for their total led by tournament medalist Jack Leppelmeier with an even par 72, Connor Elliot fired a 75, while Creighton Aeschliman and Gavin Knierim each carded a 76.
Montpelier was fronted by Kenneth Smeltzer who had a 74 to finish second individually in the tournament and secured him BBC Player of the Years honors as took the top spot in the player of the year points.
Aeschliman, Knierim, Elliot rounded out the first team along with Montpelier’s Owen Sommer who carded a 78.
Hilltop placed third led by Jordan Schaffner’s 86 as he grabbed honorable mention and Daniel Donovan shot an 82 to lead Stryker to fifth and a spot on the second team.
