Archbold, Ohio — As the leaves change colors and the weather cools, the ghosts and ghouls of northwest Ohio come out to play at Sauder Village’s Eerie Nights on Oct. 19, 25, and 26.

Bring your family along — dressed in your best costumes, of course — for a fun-filled Halloween adventure as we transform our Historic Village into a spooky storyland with pumpkins, spiders, shadow puppets, skeletons and more.

“Eerie Nights is the perfect Halloween event for families looking for a spooky, but not too scary, time,” said Matthew Walls, Village Education Manager. “Our interpreters will be out and about bringing historical Halloween traditions to life.”

“Guests will have the chance to play with shadow puppetry, have their head read by a phrenologist, explore a cabinet of curiosities, and enjoy some s’mores while listening to a spooky story. I encourage guests to take a haunted train ride, where they are sure to meet some friendly ghosts, and take part in the costume contest on the train depot porch.”

Trick-or-treat around our 1920s Main Street and play Halloween-themed parlor games. Don’t forget to dress up; The best costumes will be awarded at our costume contest!

In partnership with Archbold Community Theatre, our haunted train ride will take you around the Village where you will be greeted by three ghostly historical figures: Annie Oakley, Thomas Edison and Johnny Appleseed.

We’ll have both frights and bites, with our Soda Fountain serving up treats alongside our food truck partners. Loaded Gastro will join us Oct. 19 and 26, followed by Queso Kitchen on Oct. 25.

Join us this Halloween season for an eerie, yet kid-friendly, adventure with a few tricks and plenty of treats. Registration is suggested, but not required, for this event.

Become a Sauder Village Member for discounted admission to Eerie Nights and other after-hours events, in addition to savings on food, lodging and merchandise.
