Montpelier put a fresh twist on springtime celebrations with its first-ever Spring Soiree, held on Saturday, May 10th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The downtown was in full bloom with music, market foods, and local business specials as the community welcomed the season in style.

The event invited visitors to enjoy shop specials from a wide range of participating businesses; everything from home decor and hair care to sweet treats and spa services.

Highlights include 20% off at Wispy Willow Farm and Surely Daisies, $5 accessories at Wham Bam Glam, and wine discounts from Cookies on Demand. Shoppers also could collect stamps from each shop for a chance to win a gift basket!

Adding to the festive charm is a pop-up Farmer’s Market tucked into the alley, featuring Rae’s Sweet Treats, PST Bakery, KZ Design, and many more.

Local musician Heidi Paxton entertained onlookers with a live performance at Founders Park, filling the downtown with sweet music that could be heard throughout the streets.

For the young and young-at-heart, Four of a Kind Entertainment offered $10 guided tours on their beloved Furry Overstuffed Animal Karts, starting at Kommon Kravings, which also offered a mother’s day discount.

Whether you’re shopping, snacking, strolling, or just soaking in the spring sunshine, Montpelier’s Spring Soiree promises a cheerful Saturday for the community to celebrate the new season.
