The Fulton County Board of Commissioners held its regular session on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Following the Pledge of Allegiance and opening prayer, the board approved the minutes from the July 1st meeting and adopted the day’s agenda as presented.
The commissioners formally reviewed a Type II expedited annexation petition (Petition 2025-2), submitted by Eastman & Smith Ltd. on behalf of property owner Ryan Woodring. The petition seeks to annex approximately 1.53 acres from York Township to the Village of Delta.
The parcel, located at 8695 County Road H, is currently contiguous with village boundaries. The application includes legal descriptions, boundary surveys, and adjacent parcel data.
The agent designated for the annexation, Attorney Linde H. Webb, was granted full discretion to make any necessary amendments or withdrawals of the petition.
Through Resolution 2025-432, the board approved several budgetary actions across county departments. These included:
-New fund lines established under fund 2382 for personnel and benefit expenditures.
-Appropriation increases: $33,077 for Contract Services in the Real Estate Assessment fund; $500 for zoning-related expenses; $250 for Fulton County Regional Planning Commission costs.
-Fund transfers: $1,000 from professional services to supplies in the Sanitary Engineer fund; $22,738.71 from the Airport Storage Rent-SWCD account to the General Fund; $200 from equipment to memorial contributions within the commissioner’s budget.
The board also passed Resolution 2025-434, authorizing the advertisement of a job opening within the Department of Job and Family Services (JFS). Details about the position and application process are expected to be released by the department soon.
The commissioners approved Resolution 2025-433, entering into Contract 2025-60 related to a new opioid settlement agreement with pharmaceutical company Sandoz. Additionally, travel and purchase orders were authorized under Resolution 2025-435.
The commissioners reminded the public that all Fulton County offices would be closed Friday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. The session adjourned at 9:05 a.m.
