BOYS GOLF: Pettisville Wins Wauseon Invite After Shooting New Tournament Record

TOURNAMENT RECORD … Pettisville freshman Dawson Knierim (above) was one of six Blackbirds to shoot an 83 or better as they totaled a new tournament record 299 in winning the title.

EVERGREEN VIKING … Wade Stubleski (above) fired a 101 as the Vikings took seventh in the Wauseon Invitational at Wauseon Golf Course.


Wauseon Invitational

WAUSEON (August 5, 2025) – Pettisville set a tournament record with a 299 as they had four golfers shoot 78 or better to make the all-tournament team en route to the Wauseon Invitational championship.

Graycen Osterday led the way for the Blackbirds by shooting a tournament record 72 with teammate Jack Leppelmeier close behind with a 73.

BBC rival Montpelier scored a 324 to take runner-up led by Owen Sommer’s 75 and Wauseon got a 79 from Carter Stuckey to grab the third position.

Lane Lopez (Delta) carded a 79 for the sixth-place Panthers (353) for an all-tournament spot and Evergreen placed seventh with a 356 fronted by Hayden Timbrook’s 81 which gave him a tie for tenth overall.
