Edon-FFA-Oct2015--SubmittedAlex Baker, of the Edon FFA Chapter, will receive his American FFA Degree this October during the 88th National FFA Convention and Expo in Louisville, Kentucky.

The American FFA Degree is the highest honor the National FFA Organization can bestow upon its members. Recipients of this degree must have received their State FFA Degree, completed high school, earned or productively invested at least $7,500 in their supervised agricultural experience program, have a record of outstanding leadership abilities and complete at least 50 hours of community service. Approximately 3,500 American FFA Degrees are awarded each year, which represents less than half of one percent of all FFA members.

Alex served as Edon FFA Vice President during the 2013-2014 school year and graduated from Edon Northwest High School in 2014. He is currently a student at Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis, Indiana, majoring in Diesel Technology. Alex will graduate this December with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Sciences in Diesel Truck Technology and Management and enter the work force at Stoops Freightliner in Fremont, Indiana.

Congratulations Alex and good luck in your future endeavors!
