The Williams County Port Authority met in regular session on Monday, November 24, in the Port Authority conference room.

Board members in attendance were Dave Newcomer, Bill Martin, Dawn Fitzcharles, Ashley Epling, Tyler Sailer, Rachel Walz, Tyson Stuckey, and Cheryl Andres. Sean Rupp was absent, and Joe Kimble was on speaker phone for the meeting.

The board then approved the meeting minutes from November 12 and the financial report for October.

Sailer reported that another property has been signed on for November. He said it depends on when the check is available; it will be in the November or December financial report, just based on when he will pick up the check. “Everything is kind of moving along at this point,” he said.

The board was updated on property purchases as Andres reported there are two houses currently under contract, and she is hoping they’ll close in December.

Andres said she had at least three real estate agents ask about an offer being made for a house on 891 East Bryan Street, Bryan.

She commented that on Saturday, properties on both East Bryan Street (Bryan) and Empire Street (Montpelier) have had at least four showings in the last couple of weeks with agents who want to hopefully find a future house.

An executive session was held to consider the purchase of property (both real and personal, tangible or intangible), with no action taken.

The next meeting is set for Monday, December 8, at 1:00 p.m.
