EDON – Edon took advantage of a decisive rebounding effort as the Bombers topped Pettisville, 48-35, in a Division 7, Northwest District 2 sectional final.

The No. 3 seeded Bombers (17-6) controlled the glass out rebounding Pettisville, 41-23, despite committing 21 turnovers in the game.

Adison Briner led Edon with 17 points and Grace Ripke added eight points. The Bombers were 18 of 47 for 38 percent from the floor and 10 of 17 for 59 percent from the line.

Becca Strauss tossed in 19 points to lead No. 5 seeded Pettisville, who bow out with a 10-13 record. The Birds connected on 7 of 48 field goal attempts for a cool 15 percent but managed to sink 18 of 24 free throws for 75 percent.
