EDGERTON — MainStreet Edgerton is rolling out an ambitious slate of community events and business-friendly programs this spring and summer, with organizers calling on residents and local businesses alike to get involved early.

In a newsletter to area businesses this week, the organization outlined a season’s worth of activities designed to drive foot traffic into town, support local shops and restaurants, and bring neighbors together.

Homecoming Planning Gets Underway
The 2026 Edgerton Homecoming is set for July 18, and MainStreet Edgerton is wasting no time getting organized. A town hall planning meeting has been scheduled at the Village Hall Council Chambers, and organizers are encouraging anyone with ideas, groups already planning activities, or volunteers ready to lead to attend.

Coordination at this early stage, organizers say, will be key to pulling off a successful celebration.

Monday Munchies and Market Returns This Summer
MainStreet’s popular Monday Munchies and Market series will return for the summer season, transforming Monday evenings into a weekly block party.

Each week will feature a food truck, a relaxed market, and what organizers are calling a rotating “Surprise Moment” — activities that could range from a giant bubble zone or chalk art night to bring-your-dog night or kids playing catch with local high school athletes.

Local businesses are invited to sponsor a Surprise Moment by planning, hosting, and creating the experience themselves. Interested sponsors can contact MainStreet Edgerton at info@mainstreetedgerton.me.

Easter Treasure Hunt Begins March 20
Following the success of its first community treasure hunt, MainStreet Edgerton is launching an Easter-themed edition beginning March 20.

The program is designed to bring families into local businesses throughout town. Participating businesses receive a plush item to hide, along with promotional support from MainStreet.

When families find the items and redeem MainStreet Money at local shops, the organization reimburses the cost — making the program free for participating businesses while generating added foot traffic and exposure.

Taste of Trivia at Rocket for St. Patrick’s Day
Residents looking for a festive evening out are invited to Taste of Trivia at Rocket in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. The event promises good food, fun questions, and what organizers describe as “just enough Irish luck to win.

Olde Wrestling Coming to Edgerton
In what promises to be one of the season’s most unique offerings, Olde Wrestling is headed to Edgerton for a high-energy, family-friendly show featuring live Dixieland jazz performed by Ragtime Rick.

Advance tickets are available at $15 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. At the door, prices rise to $20 and $10, respectively.

Business Resources Also Available
In addition to events, MainStreet Edgerton is sharing safety and compliance resources with local businesses, including information on Sedgwick Ohio’s rebranding, OSHA injury tracking requirements, and the Ohio Attorney General’s Consumer Advocate Newsletter.

MainStreet Edgerton encourages residents and business owners with ideas for strengthening the community to reach out at info@mainstreetedgerton.me or visit www.mainstreetedgerton.me.
