John and Mary Ann were active members of St. Caspar Catholic Church, where John was active with Knights of Columbus. He volunteered time with Fulton County Special Olympics, and also was a leader of the Punt, Pass and Kick and K of C Free Throw Competition in Wauseon.

John is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son, Thomas (Becky) Borck; son, Stephen (Danette) Borck; daughter, Susan (Stephen) Williams; grandchildren, Katie (Michael) Fulmer, Beth (Dan) Williman, Tom (Ashley) Borck, Rachel (Randal) Elletson, Tyler (Michelle) Borck, Megan (Jimmy) Shamblin, Nathan (Angelika) Williams, and Nicholas Williams; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dorothy (Hugh) Griesinger, Marjorie (Bruce) Sharples, and Robert (Glenda) Borck.

Visitation for John will take place at St. Caspar Catholic Church, in the Pope John XXIII Room, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the rosary service led by the Knights of Columbus at 7 p.m. A funeral mass for John will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Todd Dominique officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Caspar Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Caspar Catholic Church or CHP Hospice. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
